If you’re feeling like a tune on a Monday night, Dazzle Restaurant & Lounge will take care of you nicely: The club’s World Music Series will take a jazz-tinged jog tonight, courtesy of the Bill Hill Sextet’s Jazz Around the World. Percussionist Hill — longtime chief tympanist for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and an avid collector of unusual and ethnic musical instruments from around the world — and friends will explore how folk traditions and jazz cross paths. Join the group for a global journey via the samba and bossa nova music of Brazil, Argentine tango, Cuban rhythms and German cabaret, just to name a few of the many crossover worldbeat genres.
Jazz Around the World begins at 7 p.m.; have a drink and a bite to eat beforehand, and make a night of it at Dazzle, 930 Lincoln Street. Concert tickets are $15; reserve them in advance at dazzlejazz.com or call 303-839-5100.
