Former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway is celebrating 50 years of banged up knees, turf toe, head-to-head helmet collisions, and, oh yeah … a couple of Super Bowl trophies and rings on Monday, June 28, the day the pro football Hall of Famer turns a half-century old.
And how’s he going to toast the big 5-0?
By featuring his favorite Elway’s feast during the entire month of June at a price that even his former water boy can afford. The deal, available at Both Elway’s locations, is this: For fifty bucks per person (excluding tax and gratuity), you get a salad — specifically, John’s Green Goddess-dressed salad — a bone-in ribeye steak (Prime, of course) or salmon, a side of creamed corn, a Ding Dong for dessert (no jokes — this is John’s day) and a glass of Hideaway Creek cabernet.
“It doesn’t take a 50th birthday celebration for me to enjoy a prime bone-in ribeye at Elway’s — that steak is the star in my food Hall of Fame,” says Elway, who will sporadically visit both locations — 2500 East First Avenue and 1881 Curtis Street — to toss footballs to random guests. If you make the catch, Elway will complete the drive by inking the ball with his autograph.
