Biker Jim, Denver’s most notable wiener wizard, has a fetish for more than just fat sausages; he also has an obsession with slogans, and early last month, we rolled out a contest asking Cafe Society readers to submit a few hot dog slogans of their own to replace the current catchphrase — “Off the street and into your mouth” — that Jim has used to describe his brick-and-mortar spot since it opened in March at 2148 Larimer Street.
The author of the winning slogan gets his slogan, along with his name, inked on a five-foot sign, which Jim will display in the restaurant, plus a whole month of fame and dinner for four up to $60.
And (drum roll) we have our winner…
Biker Jim combed through the submissions, and his favorite slogan from those entered into our contest was this one, courtesy of jkusmanoff: Good dogs for cool cats.
Denver, make your New Year’s Resolution Count!
We’re $14,000 away from our End-of-Year campaign goal, with just a couple of days left! We’re ready to deliver — but we need the resources to do it right. If Westword matters to you, please contribute today to help us expand our current events coverage when it’s needed most.
We’ll have another Biker Jim slogan contest starting tomorrow. Stay tuned.
