Scott McInnis, who’s really the frontrunner for governor now, doesn’t know his mountain ranges, and he apparently doesn’t know his Western art, either.
This summer, the Republican gubernatorial candidate took a hit when his campaign website debuted with a lovely panorama of the Rockies — the Canadian Rockies, as it turned out.
The site also includes a photo gallery of “Images of Colorado,” including one photo labeled “Delta.” But it’s really the wonderful mural of a guitar-playing cowboy painted on the side of 1617 Wazee Street, where Western watercolorist Willie Matthews, a Stock Show favorite, has had his gallery for twenty years.
While the Democrats scramble for a new gubernatorial candidate, maybe McInnis can brush up on his geography — and art history.
