Any deli worth its crust knows better than to serve a sandwich on bread that’s just been pulled from the freezer, but that’s exactly what I got at this decades-old deli that added insult to injury when the plate also came lobbed with a macaroni salad pelted with globs of a mysterious processed cheese that may or may not have been Velveeta.
