Tickets for Harvest Week, an annual culinary bonanza that’s the innovation of EatDenver, a collection of locally owned, independent restaurants, go on sale today, but instead of
Denver restaurants hosting the dinners, GrowHaus, an urban farm and marketplace at 4751 York Street (the farm recently won Maxwell House’s Drops of Good contest and $50,000) that provides community garden space to grow your own vegetables, is offering its acreage for a series of pop-up brunches and dinners.
Participating chefs from EatDenver member restaurants are collaborating on six-course menus that focus on specific Colorado ingredients, and each pop-up brunch or dinner will spotlight a different Colorado protein as well as local wines, beers or spirits to pair with the courses. And all of the meals are picnic-style, insomuch that foodniks need to bring their own plates, utensils, water and wine glasses. It’s an eco-conscious thing.
The five days of pop-up meals, which include one Sunday brunch and four dinners, take root on Sunday, October 9 and continue through Thursday, October 13. Tickets are $50 per person, and only fifty seats are available at each event. A full schedule is on the following page. In the days leading up to Harvest Week, we’ll post menus and updates.
