When Alexandra Elizabeth McLean was hired last summer to take over as the new drama teacher at Englewood High School, she probably wanted to make her mark. After all, she was replacing a guy who had been there for three decades before retiring.

She did — by banging one of her students after the big production, police say.

McLean, 27, was arrested this week and charged with two counts of sexual assault by a person in a position of trust. Police say she had sex with a seventeen-year-old student on either November 15 or 16 after a performance of Lend Me a Tenor.

According to multiple news outlets, the police got a call from a 29-year-old woman who said her younger sister had a friend who was bragging about having sex with McLean.

The boy later told police that he had sex with McLean after rehearsal in her car. McLean has since posted bond, but no longer works at the school.

That’s a lot of drama.
