Do you feel a chill in the air? Jack Frost nipping at your nose?
Hard to imagine on 90-plus degree days in the middle of summer, but the Bull & Bush Pub and Brewery will be celebrating the holiday season all this week by pouring a new specialty beer each day, throwing a Christmas in July Beer Tasting Party on Wednesday and topping it all off with a “New Year’s Eve” bash on Friday.
The Friday party — complete with a countdown to midnight with the Legendary 4-Nikators (music starts at 9 p.m.; cover charge is $6.99) — will mark the 39th anniversary of the Bull & Bush, which was founded in 1971 by twin brothers Dean and Dale Peterson. Dale’s sons, David and Erik, now run it.
And Erik believes the beer list for the Wednesday event – which includes more than forty rare and vintage holiday brews — may be the largest ever put together for a Christmas in July beer celebration. It’s certainly one of the most amazing.

The tasting, which costs $20 for twenty tasting tickets, starts at 6 p.m. and goes until the holiday beers run out. Tastes cost from one to three tickets, depending on the beer, and you can always buy more tickets.
The Cheeky Monk is also in the Christmas spirit. The Belgian beer bar, with locations in Denver and Westminster, has specials on Gouden Caroluus, Scaldis Noel, Serafijn Angel and the Bruery’s 2 Turtle Doves.
