It’s hard to know why a horror novelist whose work has been compared favorably to everyone from his role model, Steven King, to creepy filmmaker David Cronenberg would have a hard time breaking into print. But Internet innovator Scott Sigler took it in stride and never looked back: Instead, he serialized his novels, beginning with Earthcore, into free podcasts that played out online through weekly episodes, garnering a buzz heard ´round the cyber-world.
Yeah, now he’s in print. Crown recently published Sigler’s second hardcover novel, Contagious, and we expect that it will be just that. Catch the fever tonight at the Tattered Cover LoDo, 1628 16th Street, where the 6-foot-10-inch San Franciscan will read from and sign copies of the book for his adoring fans. Hear Sigler beginning at 7:30 p.m. For details, visit the Tattered Cover’s website or call 303-436-1070. For more on the author and a peek at his podcasts, log on to Sigler’s site.
