The much-anticipated Torchy’s Tacos will open at 1085 Broadway at 7 a.m. tomorrow — but first, the first Colorado link in this Austin-based chain will throw an opening party from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, with free tacos, chips and dips, and drinks. And according to one reader, this opening is a real reason to celebrate. Says Lex:

As a recent Colorado transplant to Texas (sad face), Torchy’s is seriously legit and the best tacos i’ve had thus far in this vast, low-lying land.

But John isn’t buying it:

Not just a taco chain, but a taco chain from Texas. You can tell they are Texas special by the shredded yellow Velveeta and iceberg lettuce.

Anyone from Colorado who eats there should be deported.

Diana disagrees, and even offers a tip:

Take it from this Denver native and Austin resident: I only order from the secret menu because it’s even better than the awesome regular menu.

Will you head to Torchy’s tonight — snow or no? Will you be there tomorrow for a first round of breakfast tacos?
