Wyoming artist Leah Hardy’s small, cast-bronze works focus on personal talismans. In this series, she introduces insect forms that are altered with mechanical trappings. They are not whimsical, but they are beautiful in a way that conjures characters from a China Miéville novel. Evan Hecox’s first solo at Super Ordinary explores urban adventures through road-trip photos and starkly graphic drawings that capture city moments in a haze of memory. With a strong focus on the artist’s visual versatility, the show serves as a personal addendum to September’s one-night Chocolate Skateboards retrospective at the gallery.
