The Eco-Disaster Fashion Show at McNichols Building (Wednesday, free)
When global warming melts the malls, what on earth are we supposed to wear? Come see what seven local designers, including Henriksen, have planned for post-apocalyptic fashion. Presented by Warm Cookies of the Revolution and Fashion Denver, the night will include a fashion show and environmental discussions about the impacts of climate change on the consumer market and the farming industry.
60 Minutes in Space at Denver Museum of Nature & Science (Wednesday, free)
Consumer space travel may become a reality if you’re a gazillionaire – and you want to risk life and limb. For a less dangerous, decidedly cheaper trip, come to the Ricketson Auditorium at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for a presentation on the final frontier complete with animation and lasers. Space is limited, so blast off early.
Talkin’ Shop at Mutiny Information Cafe (Thursday, free)
A lot of jerks out there think comedy is easy. To learn how seriously comedians take the funny business, hang out with Anthony Crawford as he explains how he works at his craft, and takes questions from the audience. And after this meet and greet, head a few doors down to 3 Kings Tavern for Cool Shit: A Comedy Show featuring Crawford and a slew of others.
