Big news in LoHi: Juan Padró and Katie O’Shea Padró, owners of Highland Tap & Burger (a Best of Denver 2015 finalist for Best Hamburger) and major movers/investors in Old Major, which opened two years ago a few blocks away from their hopping neighborhood hangout, have sold their portion of the Old Major investment back to the restaurant. According to a statement announcing the deal:

The couple has amicably decided to part ways with Executive Chef Justin Brunson in order to spend more time building the Tap & Burger brand as well as other concepts and endeavors. Katie will be removed from day-to-day operations effective immediately. Look out for some exciting news from the couple in the months to come.

We’ve asked to speak with both Juan Padro and Justin Brunson, and will update after we do.
