Is it possible to have too many pizza joints in northwest Denver? That’s what a reader wondered after we reported that one of the owners of Brown Dog Pizza in Telluride and a partner will be opening Blue Pan Pizza in Highland, serving Detroit-style pizza. Responds Tony:

At the end of the day, the great people of Denver will decide the answer to this question with their pocketbooks. If you have a better idea, rent a space, work your butt off and open your own business!!!! I have been to Brown Dog in Telluride several times and the pizza these guys will be selling is nothing like what currently exists in the entire city..
