Denver has two finalists in the Food & Wine People’s Best New Chef contest; both Alex Figura of Lower 48 Kitchen (our Best New Restaurant in the Best of Denver 2014) and Steve Redzikowski of Oak at Fourteenth and Acorn (our Best Chef in the Best of Denver 2015) are on the list for the Southwest region, one of ten categories in the contest. Voting ends at 3 p.m. MST today; you can cast your ballot here. But in the meantime, Daniel’s already weighed in with this comment:

So there’s a possibility of good food in Denver? It’s a start.

Most diners would say this city’s dining scene has been steadily improving for more than a decade, with many very, very good restaurants out there — including the three run by these two chefs.  What are your favorite kitchens in Denver?
