The Denver Chalk Art Festival is one of our favorite local events – a great way to kick off the summer that just happens to be free.
This year’s gathering in Larimer Square was no exception – although the artists had to face some Mother Nature-related adversity.

Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $20,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
Did we get a photo of your favorite? If not, it certainly wasn’t for a lack of trying, as you can see by the following gallery, which features a whopping 63 images.
