Tonight and tomorrow, as part of The Dead of Summer film festival, the Denver Film Society will be presenting the 1985 horror-comedy classic Return of the Living Dead. It’s scary, it’s funny and it introduced the idea that zombies hunger for the sweet, sweet taste of human brains.

Of special note is that one of Westword‘s resident zombie experts — me, to be specific — will be on hand to introduce the film and share some thoughts on its importance in the zombie canon. I hope to see you there. — Cory Casciato
