On March 8, audiences at Red Rocks witnessed a convergence of innovative artistry and musical evolution as the venue opened for the season. Icelantic, a Colorado company that makes handcrafted skis, hosts Winter on the Rocks each year, and this iteration included headliner Gramatik, an artist who has built his career by blending genres and breaking the rules of traditional electronic music.
The night kicked off with an electrifying performance by the Funk Hunters, who were joined by the legendary Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, setting an unforgettable tone for the evening. The Funk Hunters have distinguished themselves by crafting a unique sound that blends forward-thinking electronic music with the rich influences of old-school funk, soul and hip-hop.
Zingara took the stage before Gramatik, delivering heavy bass accompanied by a troupe of dancers. Her versatile production style shines through her debut EP, Mind & Body, particularly with the standout single “Astra,” which has garnered more than 400K streams since its release. Since her debut at Bigfoot Electro in 2021, she has rapidly gained bookings at major US festivals.
