Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $21,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
Stories We Tell at Denver Public Library, Central Branch (Tuesday, free) The DPL continues its What’s Up, Doc? series of documentaries tonight with the interesting and unusual Stories We Tell. Following a family of storytellers, director Sarah Polley investigates the history of a family of storytellers, in hopes of separating fact from fiction and of investigating how different people view past events.
Message in a Bottle at Elway’s (Wednesday, free) It’s hump day after all, so live a little and check out this Police tribute band. It might be Summer 2014, but it doesn’t have to sound like it.
