$20,000

Excluding any kind of vampire-sex fantasy, Denver’s only attempt at coffin fun takes place today as Six Flags Elitch Gardens, 2000 Elitch Circle, unearths Fright Fest with its first-ever Casket Race. A hearse parade opens the festivities at 1 p.m., and then casket-racing teams of two — one pushing, one riding — compete against each other in bracket-style eliminations. The last team standing wins a 2007 Six Flags season pass.

If you missed the October 2 registration, then just come down to the main parking lot for the ghouling race-day fun. For more information, dig into www.sixflags.com or call 303-595-4386.
