At what was one of the most truly random events ever, a giant hamster ball race took place at the Denver Pavilions this morning. “We wanted to do a competitive event that would draw people in off the street, and a hamster ball seemed like a good decision,” said Pavilions Marketing Director Wendy Manning, who organized the event in conjunction with the Downtown Denver Partnership for Downtown Employee Appreciation week. It was part of a game that also involved Denver-related trivia and a “cheer competition,” and… uh, it was pretty nonsensical. But who cares? What you want to see is people racing in giant hamster balls, and that is exactly what you’ll get — after the jump.
