$20,000

Dust off your mountain bike, drag out your spandex and haul your butt up to Devil’s Thumb Ranch for today’s Women, Wheels and Wine event. Tailored for all ability levels, the day-long cycling journey gets rolling at 8:30 a.m. with a power breakfast, followed by breakout sessions on bike maintenance, fit and proper gear before you head out on the trails, where team leaders from Boulder’s Yeti Beti will offer instruction and skills training. Refuel with a market-fresh lunch that includes make-your-own sandwiches, homemade salads, cookies and brownies, then spend the rest of the afternoon cycling or taking a yoga class at the ranch.

The day wraps up with a steam, sauna, soak in the outdoor hot tub or dip in the outdoor heated pool and a wine-and-cheese gathering. The cost is $95 per person, and advance reservations are required; to make yours, call 970-726-8231. Oh, and if you’re too achy to make the trip home, the ranch is offering a 20 percent lodging discount. Call 970-726-5632 and request the WW&W rate if you want to slumber overnight.

Sun., July 25, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., 2010
