Alongside tonight’s flurry of Biennial-sponsored events — a 5:30 p.m. symposium led by Arianna Huffington at the Buell Theatre and a Canada Night shindig at Sustainability Park from 7 to 11 p.m. — MCA Denver will jump into the middle of the action at 5 p.m. with a celebration of four new Biennial-related exhibits that won’t wind down until 2 a.m.

True to the MCA credo of not taking art and ideas too seriously, the goings-on will include such summer camp-inspired adult silliness as a campfire sing-along and beer garden, photobooth and a Sasquatch crossing guard to keep folks safe. And up on the roof, there’ll be live music, food and drink, and spectacular nighttime views; also on tap are hands-on Diarios workshops for kids and camp-style arts and crafts led by teens.

The cause for all the carrying on? Four new exhibitions — Guillermo Kuitca: Diarios, Tatiana Blass: Electrical Room, Gaspar Libedinsky: Productos Caseros and John McEnroe: Beauty Does — that will treat museum-goers to a melange of recycled canvases, video installations and site-specific polymer sculptures through mid-September.

Admission is ten cents (or five pennies for “guests dressed as sexy scouts”); find details online at MCA Denver.
