When you’re living with HIV/AIDS, it’s important to take care of your teeth. Issues such as dry mouth (which can lead to tooth decay, gingivitis and gum disease), thrush, swollen glands and more are part of the HIV/AIDS condition, which is why the Howard Dental Center is so important: It provides low-cost or no-cost dental services to people with HIV/AIDS.
Attendees of tonight’s Bingo Ball can feel especially good about the fun they’ll have, because the proceeds directly benefit the Howard Center. Mike Nelson, chief meteorologist for 7News, will emcee, and everyone’s favorite three-breasted drag queen, Nuclia Waste, will call the Bingo games. Also on the agenda: a buffet of family-style comfort cuisine, dancing, and live and silent auctions with fabulous prizes, including an African safari, a trip to Hawaii, massages, ski packages and much more. Tickets to the ball are $100 (patron tables are also available); the fun starts at 6 p.m. on the club level of Invesco Field, 1701 Bryant Street. Visit www.howarddental.org/specialevents.html or call 303-863-0772.
