When the dust finally settles on 2015, it may well be known as the year of Caitlyn Jenner. After months of rumor and speculation and then a ratings-breaking Diane Sawyer interview, Jenner left behind her roles as a gold-medal clad Olympian and eventual put-upon straight man and step/father for the Kardashian clan, and took back the reins of her life, transitioning into the woman she had waited decades to become.
Caitlyn’s story will be the point of discussion when Jenner comes to Denver next February as part of the Unique Lives and Experiences series at the Bellco Theater. She’s served as a lightning rod in the cultural zeitgeist, as perceptions changed as to what it means to be transgender; Caitlyn had a starring role as the first transwoman that everyone in the world knows, whether they understand the situation or are just coming to learn how to understand it.
Tickets for the show, which range in price from $40 to $500, go on sale at 10 a.m. this Monday, September 14,. via the website uniquelives.com or phone at 844-827-8118. The show is set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, at the Bellco Theater, 700 14th Street.
