What makes holiday teas at the historic Cherokee Ranch and Castle so special? The list goes on and on — just like a ten-year-old’s Christmas wish list — but it starts with the charm of the castle in the foothills, which offers Front Range views that stretch from downtown Denver to Pikes Peak, on a good day.
“We are holiday-ready at the ranch,” reports spokeswoman Abby Burch. “We have a specialized menu, and the castle is already decorated inside and out with trees, a sleigh, lights, bows, ornaments and garlands, and a guided house tour is included in the price.” Seasonal fare offered at the high tea ranges from pumpkin scones and carrot-cake bites to turkey-and-cranberry sliders and caramels, and “there’s even a take-home treat,” Burch adds as an enticement.
Cherokee Ranch, at 6113 North Daniels Park Road in Sedalia, kicks off its holiday tea season with Thanksgiving-themed seatings today and tomorrow at 2 p.m.; several more are scheduled through December 19. Admission is $45 and reservations are a must, as the teas sell out quickly every year. To guarantee your seat at the table, go to cherokeeranch.org or call 303-688-5555.
