Hifalutin’ do-gooder hotelier Walter Isenberg (the Oxford et al.) and his wife, Christie, know how to raise cash. They employ a little trick called putting the “fun” in fundraising. Their charity, Concerts for Kids, kicked off its first flagship event — an annual concert — in 2004, and since then, they’ve raised more than half a million dollars for Denver Public Schools, Children’s Hospital and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Although concerts are the organization’s raison d’être, it hosts a variety of other events throughout the year, such as Celebrity Waiter Fundraisers and Bowl-a-Thons. And the Isenbergs’ hearts are pure: One hundred percent of the proceeds go to their beneficiaries. Tonight’s 8 p.m. concert may be their best yet, with Jewel and John Legend headlining at Fiddler’s Green, 6350 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard in Greenwood Village. Tickets are $15 for lawn seats, $35 to $75 for reserved seating, and they’re available at any Ticketmaster outlet. For corporate packages and VIP tickets, visit www.concertsforkids.org or call Sally at 303-605-2885.
