Score points tonight at March Madness, a comedy and musical parody show presented by the Denver Cycle Sluts. With local drag queen/charity princess Nuclia Waste as the host, it’s sure to be a glittery, plastic-boob extravaganza that makes that three-breasted chick from Total Recall look like a poseur. “I think it will be more wacky than usual because of the ‘madness’ theme,” says Waste. “It’s a combination of the Mad Hatter’s party from Alice in Wonderland combined with basketball.”
Every month, Waste and her clan of big-haired gals in neon-colored skirts — including Sharon Magoodies, Zoey Diddum, Wilma Titzgro, Winnie Bego and Vera Confused — get all gussied up and hussy around to raise money for local charities. All proceeds from this show will go to the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program. Tonight’s high-heel social includes a bladder-killing, $6 all-you-can-chug beer bust from 8 to 11 p.m., plus a drawing with yet-to-be-determined prizes (which Waste assures will be “definitely fabulous”). The show starts at 9 p.m. at the always-enchanting Charlie’s Denver, 900 Colfax Avenue. Admission will be cheap, but unfortunately, it’s a 21-and-up event.
