Keep Westword Free
We’re aiming to raise $20,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Westword can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
You know the rules: Cardio. Double tap. Limber up. Now you’re almost ready for the Movie and a Martini showing of Zombieland. The only other thing you’ll need is a kick-ass costume — zombies and zombie hunters alike are welcome — for the pre-film costume contest. There’s no rule saying you have to participate, but when else are you going to bust out your Tallahassee hat or your sweet Bill Murray-as-zombie impersonation?
There’s no rule saying you have to drink, either, but you’re missing half the fun if you don’t — it’s Movie and a Martini, after all. Themed drink specials are the name of the game, which could mean anything from Twinkie-tinis to brain shots.
“We always like to have a specialty feature drink for each Movie and a Martini event,” says Kyla White, marketing and social media coordinator for the Wildlife Experience. “They always like to make fun, different martinis.”
Tickets for Movie and a Martini are $25, or $20 for museum members, which includes two drinks, appetizers and popcorn. Get to the Wildlife Experience, 10035 Peoria Street in Parker, at 5:30 p.m. for the cocktail hour; the film starts promptly at 7:30. For tickets and more info, visit thewildlifeexperience.org.
