The Suburu WinterFest is a celebration of adventure and all things winter, with an amazing lineup of artists that includes Lissie, Pixie & the Partygrass Boys, Kind Hearted Strangers and Lindsay Lou. Alpine Start Foods will supply free s’mores and hot chocolate, and there will be daily giveaways and opportunities to test the latest gear from Mammut, Nordica Ski, Arbor Collective, Solo Stove, Dynamic Wax, Thule, Klean Kanteen and more. Leadville Ski Joring and Crystal Carnival Weekend
Sunday, March 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Harrison Avenue, Leadville
Head for the hills and the 74th Leadville Ski Joring and Crystal Carnival Weekend. From noon to 3 p.m., cheer on the horses and skiers; it’s free to watch (but no dogs or drones). In addition to the races, the Leadville Nordic Paintball Biathlon starts at 10 a.m., with Nordic skiing and paintball at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center. Find out more about the weekend here.

Dairy Block Petite Parade

Dairy Block, 1800 Wazee Street
The Dairy Block is hosting its fourth annual Petite Parade to celebrate Mardi Gras. Everyone is invited to “laissez les bons temps rouler” by building a creative float starting with a shoebox base; each float must be no larger than 2 feet long by 2 feet wide and shorter than 3 feet tall, and able to be pulled on wheels. Advance registration for floats required: It’s free for individuals and families to enter and $50 for businesses. Awards will be given for Most Original Float, Funniest Float and more. Along with the parade, entertainment will be provided by Denver’s Handsome Little Devils, complete with live music. Find out more here.
Night Lights Denver: Women’s History Month
Through March 31, daily except Mondays, 6:15 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

For Women’s History Month, Night Lights Denver is presenting a collection of time-based artworks projected on the side of the Clocktower; the work is designed to express conversations unique to each artist’s practice. This program was independently curated by Sharifa Moore, executive director of Denver Digerati; find out more here.

Denver Public Library will celebrate Women’s History Month by highlighting namesakes of Denver Public Library branches Dr. Justina Ford, Pauline Robinson, Sarah Platt Decker. First up: Professor Qrescent Mason discussing the impact of the life of bell hooks and the legacy of her archival collection. Find out more here.
