I love Paris in the springtime or even Paris in Denver in the summertime: That’s the taste you’re destined to experience at tomorrow night’s Créme de la Couture Grand Opening Fashion Show, which will serve doubly as an introduction to Créme de la Couture, a new high-end second-hand boutique opening Monday at 3041 South Broadway in Englewood (more on that next week, fashionistas), as well as a fundraiser for Urban Outreach of Denver. Not to mention, a vintagey Parisian paradise on heels! Clothing from the store, including high fashion labels, will be seen on the runway, modeled by boys and girls alike; hair and makeup are courtesy Salon Tres Ci in Cherry Creek.
“There will be some beautiful vintage things,” spokeswoman Meredith Groves promises. “But we’ll also have some more modern, French ’20s-inspired couture. That’s our focus in the store: vintage and haute couture.”
Modeling kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at Second Home in the JW Marriott, 150 Clayton Lane, along with an open bar and silent auction; admission is free, but an RSVP is requested (call 303-781-5577). Or visit the website for more information.
