In an effort to keep you thinking during the long, hot summer, the Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life program will present Presence of the Camera: Documentaries, a film series dedicated to — and sometimes mocking — the cutting edge of reality, throughout the month of June. The library’s sixth annual documentary series, curated and hosted by critic Walter Chaw, will take viewers out on a limb of truth at times.
Catch a different flick, with commentary, at 6 p.m. Tuesdays through June 29 at the Denver Central Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway; the fest ends tonight with Stop Making Sense, Jonathan Demme’s cinematic paean to the Talking Heads.
