The Wind Up Bird: Brian Comber and Bill Gian

1136 Cherokee Street
Artists Brian Comber and Bill Gian teamed up for this one-night pop-up extravaganza in an exclusive piece of Golden Triangle real estate at 1136 Cherokee Street. Five floors of the tony townhome will be filled with artwork by the duo (as well as guest artists Lucy Geller, Tim Gianulis and Danny Vasquez), and the avant-garde music collective ANIMAL/ object will provide the party with a sonic landscape.

Raw Fury #2 Zine Release
Lowbrow Denver

It’s not your standard opening, but a sixty-page collection of art just seven-and-one-half inches square will debut tonight at Lowbrow Denver, where you can be one of the first to pick up a copy of the annual art zine Raw Fury #2. Featuring work by 23 artists from Denver and Chicago (with a removable print by traffic-cone screen-printer Frank Kwiatkowski tucked inside), even the zine itself, hand-printed on 140# French Pink Lemonade cover, is a work of art — and a steal at only $13 a copy.
Sacred Traditions: New Works by Adrian Landon Brooks

Adrian Landon Brooks draws inspiration from the hand-wrought graphic designs of bygone days, as well the sacred, painting and drawing his mystery-cloaked images in gouache and ink on wood and paper. PBRs will pop open for free at the reception, in Super Ordinary’s stylish digs inside the Source.
