If you love giving homemade gifts but don’t have the time (or talent) to create your own, tonight’s one-time-only, deeply discounted Art for Peanuts sale is just what Santa ordered. “There will be prints and stuff as low as two dollars,” says artist Bob White, who is helping to organize the show, which runs from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Rock the Cradle, an edgy baby-gear store. “Some of the work is really cheap. If someone came in with fifty bucks, they could decorate an entire apartment.” Work by Betsy Sanders White, Gabriella Trujillo, Amanda Visell, SHAG and Eric Trujillo will be available at discounted prices. It’s a great opportunity for people looking for gifts for the holidays, White adds, and Rock the Cradle will also have baby clothing and accessories on sale.
Since you’ll be buying directly from the artists, remember to bring cash or checks. Rock the Cradle is at 18 South Broadway; call 303-733-3707.
