Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? Stritch Boutique and Denver Style Magazine are hosting a Whiskey and Wishlists Valentine’s Gift Fair from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Stritch, 3326 Tejon Street. Megan Timlin, the boutique’s owner, collaborated with Denver Style Magazine editor-in-chief Heather Okimoto on this event to help lovers take care of all their Valentine’s Day needs, complete with special discounts, gift wrapping, local vendors, a concierge to take care of your dinner reservations, a florist to schedule your bouquet delivery, tasty treats and whiskey sips.

The Stritch Boutique name was inspired by the late Broadway actress Elaine Stritch, a personality big enough to fill all of New York City. Timlin, a Denver native, wanted to embody Stritch’s spirit at her boutique, where the staff strives to help women embrace themselves and their style, without compromise. To make that possible, Stritch offers a curated selection of pieces that perfectly match every woman’s style needs, Timlin says.
“I wanted to be able to contribute to Denver’s fashion community because it is growing so rapidly,” she adds. “I wanted to create a niche with a creative team. I started at the Fashion Design Center and Lisa Ramfjord Elstun was a huge inspiration for me to go out and do my own thing.”
The womenswear that Stritch carries is West Coast meets East Coast with a European flair. All the accessories and small items have been hand-picked by Timlin, and come from local designers and artists. “We turned the boutique into what it is in five days. It used to be a nursery,” says Timlin. Stritch also has a mobile boutique, called Stritch on the Run.
Denver Style Magazine is a quarterly print magazine; DenverStyleMagazine.com is a digital fashion, style and beauty resource with event listings, boutique locations and information on professional beauty and styling services.
The collaboration between Stritch and Denver Style will promote local designers, as well as jewelry designer Abby Sparks, custom men’s clothier Ratio Clothing and floral designer Fleur Decor.
Stritch will be open until 8 p.m. tonight for the party; the usual hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information about Stritch, go to the Stritch website or call 303-862-6463.
