If you haven’t voted yet, stop reading now and do so: You can drop off your ballot until 7 p.m. tonight, and if you don’t have your ballot, you can go to one of the city’s 25 vote centers and get a replacement. For that matter, under the state’s new voting laws you can still register to vote for two more hours.
That new voting law helps explain why so many Democratic politicians showed up at the Auraria campus at noon today to get out the vote.
Also campaigning on campus were Jonny 5, aka Jamie Laurie, the Flobots musician and activist, and Kalyn Heffernan of Wheelchair Sports Camp, who were encouraging students to simply get out and vote.
If you’ve already voted, keep reading for a look at the action. If not, come back after you have.
