At the third annual Mile High Festibowl, revelers can start their 4/20 weekend in a haze — and then choose from live music by more than sixty bands and jokes from over 25 comedians without ever leaving that haze. The performers are too numerous to list, but comedy highlights include Moxie, Ultra Sex Laser, the Fine Gentleman’s Club and a satellite version of San Francisco’s gut-busting showcase Get Yucked Up. With a wide variety of musical acts, Festibowl spotlights local talent as well as some imported from distant shores, such as British Columbia’s one-man loop station, Sam Klass, and Della Fern, which hails all the way from Perth, Australia.

“It’s going to feature live music, graffiti artists and some of the best comedy in the country,” says El Charrito owner Matt Orrin. “All of that, combined with people’s love for cannabis, should hopefully make for a kind weekend.” Best of all, every show is free to attend, though donations of $5 or more are encouraged in order to help the traveling performers and festival volunteers.

The shows are spread across four venues: El Charrito, 2100 Larimer Street; the Armoury, 2048 Larimer Street; Carioca Cafe (aka Bar Bar), 2060 Champa Street; and Seventh Circle Music Collective, 2935 West Seventh Avenue. Each venue will host bands and comics, but Festibowl isn’t stage performances. Live art installments and presentations from Richard Ingersoll, Bluebear Lili, SLVLC, reiki master Else Kay and many more will also blow minds all weekend long.

Festibowl begins today and continues through Sunday; a full schedule is available on the event’s Facebook page.
