Speed freaks of all shapes and sizes
will rev their engines this weekend at Bandimere Speedway. This afternoon’s
3 p.m. Club Clash features car clubs of all makes and models facing off on the race course for king-of-the-hill bragging rights. Tomorrow’s ATS Diesels on the Mountain drag race has categories for any and every diesel-powered vehicle, with generous payouts for all bracket classes; entry is $13 for spectators and $40 for participants. And Sunday’s Cummins Rocky Mountain Truck Fest is a suitable conclusion to three days of high-powered racing, with “anything from lowriders, four-wheel drives and diesel trucks all the way up to semis,” according to Bandimere’s Jeff Sipes. “We’ll even have a dump-truck race.” Gates for the Truck Fest open at 8:30 a.m.; admission is $13 for spectators, $30 for race and show participants, and free for kids twelve and under with a paying adult.
Bandimere is at 3051 South Rooney Road in Morrison. Call 303-697-6001 or visit www.bandimere.com for details.
