Even if you were just at the Denver Botanic Gardens to catch the final days of the Chihuly exhibit, there’s no reason to skip your trip to the Blossoms of Light display, which opens tonight, because it really does get better each year as the DBG adds more and more lights and features.
Trail of Lights, at the DBG’s Chatfield location, also opens today. This is a more rustic version of what you’ll see at Blossoms of Light, but no less enchanting, with millions of gorgeous, shimmering LEDs that capture the magic of the holidays.
“This year, I think Trail of Lights has the most additions,” says DBG spokeswoman Erin Bird. “They’ll have a holiday photo booth in the warming hut, and complimentary hay rides on Fridays and Saturdays. And both Blossoms of Light and Trail of Lights will have new light tunnels draped in lights…. It’s just a great holiday tradition.”
HoloSpex glasses will be available at both locations. Both displays are open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and run through January 1. Admission ranges from $5 for kid members to $12 for adult non-members during peak days. The Denver location is at 1007 York Street, and the Chatfield location is at 8500 West Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton. Visit botanicgardens.org for tickets.
