FBomb, Denver’s flash-fiction showcase, is a different kind of open mike, and anyone can sign up to read their own quickies before the featured authors have a go. Host Kathryn Grant, a local filmmaker, author and actress, will share some of her work before giving up the stage to flash-fiction specialist Kathy Fish, who teaches the art of getting to the point at Regis University.

To research the book, the Autobees interviewed restaurant workers, chefs and owners of spots that have all closed their doors — from Auraria’s storied Casa Mayan to the Lotus Room.

Stories on Stage turns to stories in verse for Every Stanza Tells a Story, a program of narrative poetry read by local actors like Sam Gregory and Chris Kendall.
