What’s Valentine’s Day without a good drag show? Nuclia Waste and her Demented Divas — Marion McKuzins, Portia Potty and Gabbriella Butts’in — will provide the answer to that question tonight at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret…neon costumes, platform shoes, flouncy skirts, green wigs, glittery beards and all. The veteran troupe returns to the Clocktower stage for the Demented Divas Twisted Valentine Show: SweetTARTS, a sweet-and-sour musical lampooning all the tawdry dramas that go hand-in-innocent-hand with romance, via songs like “Throbbing Python of Love,” “Love Crack,” “Porn This Way” and “I Kissed a Squirrel.” For the large swath of humanity in Denver belonging to the anti-Valentine’s Day club (alas, you know who you are), the Divas are the perfect antidote, but they’re spooning out the camp and sugar for one night only.

SweetTARTS gently bashes the holiday of love starting at 8 p.m. at Lannie’s, 1601 Arapahoe Street; for tickets, $25 in advance while they last, go to lannies.com or call 303-293-0075.

Wed., Feb. 12, 8 p.m., 2014
