Dohm-Icebox is a cool company in Longmont that makes winter hats on antique hand-powered machines that have been in use for decades, and were previously owned by Boulder’s Alpine Knitting Mills. Tomorrow they’re hosting their annual holiday sale at their warehouse from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with great discounts on all sorts of woolen headwear and other goodies. Plus, they’ll give $1 to a good cause if you bring a sweater to be upcycled into future Dohm-Icebox products.

One such product: the pictured Recycled Sweater Monkey, who headlines a line of hats and scarves made from leftover scraps from the factory floor.
