With their 1998 debut, the boys and girls of Nashville Pussy declared Let Them Eat Pussy. Seven years later, they’re still all about the muff. Their latest album, Get Some!, opens with the holler, “Well, all right, who wants some pussy?” The quartet’s two superhot, supercrass female members, guitarist Ruyter Suys and bassist Karen Cuda, answer with a spirited “We do!” So goes the rest of the album. This is par for the course for these Atlanta-based sleaze rockers whose Southern-flavored, AC/DC-inspired raunch is all about cussing, booze, nudity and brawling. And that’s just the live show. There’s also some arena-worthy fire-breathing to keep the ADD kids on point. Given the group’s loyalty to all things profane, it’s no surprise that Nashville Pussy’s music sounds most at home on a strip-club DJ’s mix CD. (“Come On, Come On” features the creative chorus “Come on, come on, fuck yeah!”) Imagine coked-up truckers slamming Jack and Cokes while stuffing dollar bills into strippers’ G-strings: That pretty much sums it up.
