Art cars, 3D printers, Tesla coils, plasma globes, Star Wars droids, a giant electric muffin: If it qualifies as geeky, chances are you could find it at the Denver Mini Maker Faire, which gathered together more than 100 makers and creatives of every stripe — crafters, hobby scientists, hackers, droid builders and burners — at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science over the weekend. Photographer Kevin Beaty was there, capturing the best of the fest’s patented nerdery in these images.
