Fantastic Hosts, a nonprofit known for throwing wild, themed costume parties with artist-designed props, took over two floors at NORAD Dance Bar on Saturday night to celebrate the first flight into space, made by Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin 53 years ago in 1961. Part of Yuri’s Night, a worldwide acknowledgement of the feat, the party drew astronauts and aliens alike to the dance floor, while raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House. Eric Gruneisen brought back these images from a night that was truly out of this world.
