Performance artist Gemma Wilcox, a perennial favorite and Best-of-Fest winner at the Boulder International Fringe Festival, moves effortlessly through more than two dozen characters in this one-woman show. She brings it back for one night only (in 2012, Magical Mystery Detour boasted a sold-out run at the Fringe), so catch it while you can. And watch for Wilcox to return in September for the 2014 fest.

Mile High Dance Festival

Cleo Parker Robinson and a multicultural crew of local dance groups pay it back to the community with the Mile High Dance Festival, a free outdoor performance that features Robinson’s renowned troupe, along with Hannah Kahn’s modern company, classical ballet with Ballet Ariel, Mexican folk dance from Fiesta Colorado and flamenco with Maria Vasquez. That’s right, it’s free, on an outdoor stage; bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a night of pure, unadulterated culture.
