People who own dogs know that furry friends are more than just pets: They’re family. And sometimes it’s difficult to leave the pups at home, especially when you’re almost out the door, and they turn those big brown eyes on you. Tonight, thanks to the Denver Outlaws, you can attend a lacrosse game and take Fido along. “Paws at the Park is a great way for Colorado dog owners to get out and enjoy a fun event with their dogs and other dog owners all while supporting a great cause,” says Denver Outlaws spokeswoman Samantha Ronan. “Even if you’ve never been to a lacrosse game before, we are positive you and your dog will enjoy this experience.”

The Denver Outlaws will play the Charlotte Hounds (get it?) tonight beginning at 7 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Tickets, $10 to $50, are available at denveroutlaws.com or by calling 303-688-5297. Anyone planning to bring a dog will need to fill out a waiver prior to game day. Five dollars from each ticket will be donated to MaxFund, a local no-kill shelter, and the first 2,000 fans attending will receive a free Outlaws bandana.
