A weekend can go by fast, but sometimes you can accomplish a lot. Just ask the fifty-plus teams who each wrote, shot and edited an entire film in that time. Then watch the fruits of their labor today at the 48 Hour Film Project Premiere Screenings.

“It’s such an incredible opportunity for the public to engage with these filmmakers…and immerse yourself in the local film scene,” explains Kristin Nolan, Denver’s city producer for the project. “To really appreciate the films is to understand what it really takes to pull it off. Here’s a team of people who wrote a script, determined what the costuming would be, got actors…[found] a place to film it, score it, add the special effects. Then you look at these films and you go, ‘That’s incredible.’”

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., each of the four- to seven-minute films will be screened in four separate segments at the Gothic Theatre, 3263 South Broadway. Tickets to each are $8 in advance, $11 at the door; all-day passes are also available for $24 in advance, $30 at the door.
