Lonie Paxton’s Active Force Foundation, founded by the Denver Broncos long snapper, is an example of how a bad turn can inspire positive change. “Lonie had a good friend who broke his back but wanted to participate in outdoor activities,” says foundation spokeswoman Judianne Atencio. “So they built this four-wheel mountain bike that allows disabled athletes and wounded soldiers to explore a more active lifestyle.”
In support of that effort, Lonie Paxton’s NFL Draft Party and Bowling Bash offers an opportunity to watch the NFL draft with Paxton and other Broncos, including Matt Prater and Brady Quinn, as well as wounded soldiers from Fort Carson.
Starting today at 4:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Zone, 9255 Kimmer Drive, Lone Tree, the Draft Party includes two bars, bowling-lane sponsorships at $250 to $500 a lane, and the chance to have fun for a good cause. All proceeds benefit the Active Force Foundation.
