Ocean Prime, a splashy new steak and seafood restaurant that will open on January 20 in Larimer Square, is hosting a preview tonight for Denver cognoscenti who put their money where their mouth is: Owner Cameron Mitchell and his crew are ushering in the New Year – and their new two-tiered quarters — with a blowout bash to raise funds for the Denver Hospice, a nonprofit that assists patients with living out the duration of their lives with dignity. “It may not be sexy, but they do incredibly important work in Denver, and part of our company culture and philosophy is supporting the communities in which we do business,” says Mitchell. “It’s a great fit for the restaurant, and we hope that we can raise some serious money to continue their mission,” he adds.

The strolling supper party gets under way at 5:30 p.m., and tickets, which are $100 per person, or $75 for young professionals forty and younger, include cocktails, wines, ample samplings of menu items and valet parking. To reserve yours, call 303-398-6236, or go to www.giving.thedenverhospice.org/oceanprime.
